SCOTIA A/S is formed
Scotia A/S will from 05.09.2014 be based at Allegade 4 in Helsingør north of Copenhagen. This move marks a new phase in our resurgence and restructuring. Moving to the highest level of Limited Liability Company in Denmark is a signal that we have stabilised the company.
Steven Scott is transferring full ownership of all IPR to Scotia A/S in a new shareholding structure.
Gorm Teichert will join the board of the new company alongside Morten Krath, Eivind Kierulf Aas and Steven Scott.
New Domicile in Helsingør
CEO Gorm Teichert and CDO Steven Scott are building a management structure for the company in our new offices which are part of the Siemens HQ in Denmark. The offices will bring together all departments - administration, design and development, technical, sales and marketing and general management - in one open collaborative working environment.
Steven Scott :
“In the past we have outsourced a number of functions and services, but we are now convinced that we need to bring all the required skills under one roof and close to Gorm’s leadership of the company. The pace of product development is accelerating as we complete more large installations and receive a great deal of data that feeds back into our design and engineering processes. The new Monopole, with all controls and energy storage on board, is transforming the solar street lighting industry and that is one of our core missions at Scotia A/S.”
Gorm Teichert :
“The company has gone through a transformation in the past two and a half years and we have moved out of the start-up phase. I am extremely impressed with the present level of technology and system design which has resulted in an outstanding product offering that makes sense in practically any geographical area of the world. The successful projects currently under way and the overwhelming interest in our product offering provide an excellent platform for the further development of Scotia. The thought of providing the world with energy and light even in places where this was never before possible utilizing only natural resources, is incredibly attractive. Although solar panels have been around for a long time, our concept of merging energy production, energy storage and light in a holistic low maintenance design makes sense from every perspective.
Scotia Delivers Systems
Every project that we undertake introduces a new set of requirements and variations of technical specification are needed to meet each new customer’s particular context and demands. We are now developing a matrix that can provide reponsive bespoke systems that balance all the key elements of a lighting project :
ENERGY YIELD + ENERGY CONSUMPTION + ENERGY STORAGE + ENERGY MANAGEMENT
All four core elements need to be addressed, balanced and then delivered to the client in the most efficient and cost-effective package.
An integrated design solution for our customers can be developed by an integrated team of specialists at Scotia A/S.
Scotia solutions offer systems that can meet all our clients’ needs ; either off grid in the Monopole, grid connected in the Monopole Grid, or indeed a combination of two in the Monopole Connect.
